Hello, there!
How is everyone doing?
Today I thought I give you an update on my homemade boxwood wreath before it is time to start taking down all the decor to get ready for Fall. Where did the Summer go?
I put it together during the last week of June using some boxwood tips from my own yard and I am happy to say it is lasting much longer than I anticipated. Here we are two months later and still looking pretty good.
Several weeks ago, while shopping at Michael's, I found this little metal trinket in their dollar section.
I had no idea how I was going to use, but for one dollar, I couldn't go wrong.
Hmmm... How about if I add it to my boxwood wreath?
I cut one of those metal hangers they give you at the cleaners (glad I saved one) and gave it a coat of silver spray paint.
When it dried, I glued the piece to the back on the embellishment.
And since I have one of this inside the pot, it was very easy to just poke it in the foam.
And I think it goes well with the Fleur de Lis designs on the mantle.

It is amazing the difference that little bit of detail makes. I liked it before, but that adds a certain something!

ReplyDeleteMaria Elena,
ReplyDeleteJust the perfect touch for the boxwood with its French flower seller label and for your mantle... I had to pin this and have added this to my "to-do-list."
