YELLOW/GRAY ON THE FRONT PORCH

it just dawned on me that I never shared with you the changes I made to the porch a while back.

After the holidays, it sat empty for a few weeks, I just didn't know what to do with it and every time
I went in and out of the house it just didn't feel like home.
Even after a while my family started complaining! LOL

In February, and since I didn't decorate for Valentine's this year, I made a new wreath and some pillow covers
to bring a little happiness to the porch. I went with a gray and yellow theme.

I am getting ready to change it soon and decorate it with some Spring/Easter colors, so let me give you a small tour.

SPRING COLORS IN THE GUEST BATHROOM

Hello everyone!
I hope your week is going well.

It is hard to believe this Sunday it will already be officially Spring and soon after we will be celebrating Easter.
Our temperatures are already reaching 90 degrees, so I think we won't have much of a Spring time around here.

But even then, it is the time to renew our home decor for the new season. This year I am pretty late getting started with that, but that is ok, I just taking my time and not stressing about getting things done. :)

I made a couple of changes around the house already. My first "victim" was the guest bathroom. :)
First I thought of just redoing the whole room, but I soon realized there was no need for that and that a couple of small changes would be enough to give it a spring look.

A BLOG MILESTONE GIVEAWAY

Hello, friends and happy Friday!
The day I decided to start this blog, I would of never thought that soon after I would become part
of this wonderful blogging community.

When I published that first post on 27 September 2011, you can view it here, I was scared to death
of embarrassing myself. LOL  But at the same time it was so wonderful and exciting.

Since then, my blog has become such a big part of my life and I love the fact that I have been able to meet such wonderful and caring people along the way from all over the world.

This past week, my blog reached a milestone, I had over a million views. Wow!
To me, it is amazing to think so many of you took the time to visit my little blog.

And to thank you, I decided to host a giveaway.

YELLOW / GREY BURLAP WREATH & TUTORIAL

Time is flying around here! How is it possible we are already in March? The last few weeks have been pretty busy for our family. My husband has been traveling on business, our son and his wife are in the process on buying a house, our daughter was rear ended on her way to work one morning by a driver with no drivers license and we are in the process of planning our grandson's first birthday party, well, let me tell you, never a boring minute for these parents. :)

In the middle of all the happenings, we have been trying to keep up with our home. Since the weather has been in the 80's around here, we are already thinking "outdoors" and we have continued working on our back porch/deck as we have a little time. More to come on that soon.

Meanwhile, my front porch has been neglected, so I finally had the chance to spruce it up a bit.
Today I am sharing the simple wreath I made for the front door. I call it a between Winter/Spring wreath. :)

SPRING CRAFTS IDEAS USING DOLLAR TREE ITEMS

Most of us already have Spring on our minds.

Our weather has been very mild and I had to refrain myself from decorating the house for Spring too early. :)

Although I already have a few ideas in mind, in this post I wanted to share some Spring crafts
I have done in the past using supplies from Dollar Tree.
