As this week comes to an end, I would like to share with you the little bit of decor I added to the front porch.
Nothing big, actually, it is very simple, but I know it won't stay this way for long.
Our weather has been very warm, we reached 78 degrees yesterday, so I almost felt bad to put any "winter decor" on the porch. :) Neighbors must thing I am crazy!
You have already seen the pillows I made a few weeks ago and the wreath I put together from the leftover fabric.
This is how it looks all together.
This is how it looks all together.
After taking the Christmas decorations down, I cleaned the porch really well and this is what we were left with.
Oh, you don't know how much it was bothering me to see the porch so empty. :)
I just had to add a little color!
Everything I used to make the pillows and wreath I already had, so there was no cost involved in this project.
I wrapped a little of the beaded ribbon around the candle and made a little fabric flower.
Before and after
I hope everyone have a wonderful weekend!
We will be finishing the project we started last weekend and I will be sharing it as soon as it is finished.
Happy Friday!
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could be there in your pretty porch enjoying that nice weather! It's so cold up here, some snow's coming this afternoon! You're a wreath expert, I love the blue touches!

Love the blue you used and the pillows are so sweet! The candle in the lantern just gives the perfect touch! Have a great weekend, just enjoying the snow here in Pa.
ReplyDeleteI sucked in my breath from the beauty! I adore that wreath!
ReplyDeleteMaria, I thought I posted here yesterday...I surely meant to. I love your style with the blue and white, too. Goes well with your stone color, too. My porch still looks a mess after ice and snow. It really needs a good cleaning like you mentioned. Helen

I think it looks wonderful -- the colors, the pillows, the wreath! Who cares what the neighbors might think, it really only matters what you think and what your bloggy friends think, right? LOL!

Marie Elena, your Winter porch is lovely! I must admit, it makes me smile a little to see a Winter porch in such warm weather. I have gathered my Winter porch decor up and sat it in a corner on the porch. Planned to bring it all in, but hasn't happened yet. I have been trying to decorate it for Valentines. so cold I just can't handle going out there to do it. lol! I did go gather Rose hip brances to put in my urns. I want to hang hearts down from them. The day after I gathered them we got 18" of snow. Guess I should have left the Winter decor. Love your cute pillow and wreath. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
