I have to tell you, my bedroom dresser has been pretty empty until now.
Since I started redoing our bedroom decor, I just could not find items to
decorate it that were appealing to me or that went with
the new bedding and furniture we bought for the bedroom.
Little by little, I have been buying some things I liked.
I found this mercury glass perfume bottle and lantern at Kirklands
I also bought a pretty table runner and these beautiful off white frames,
which I used to display some pictures of our parents and added a small tassel
to dress them up a little.
I also used some of my crystal
And this is what I have so far
While shopping for the picture frames, I also found these two pretty pictures
for the wall between the dresser and bed.
I liked that they had the same butterfly as the big canvas painting on my sitting room.

I have been taking advantage of all the sales, so I made all these
changes for just $25.00. What do you think?
As always, I thank you so much for taking the time to come visit.
I hope you are having a great week!
Your bedroom is coming together beautifully! I think you did an excellent job on your dresser display, which is great because I always find my dresser challenging to decorate.
ReplyDeleteI love all the little touches! And that large piece of black iron I see hanging on the wall in the background, I could use in my decorating, thank you very much, lol!
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job, ME! I love it-and $25? You gotta be kidding me!!!! Your bedroom is just gorgeous- and comfortable looking- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI am keeping an eye out for a lantern!!! I like the one on your dresser
ReplyDeleteYour bedroom looks like such a nice retreat! I love combination of mercury glass, crystal, and creams! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteYou have found some really pretty items. I like the perfume bottle very much. The photo frames look good with the little extra detail. Your room looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteYour bedroom looks marvelous! I love your arrangement on the dresser! You have the same picture on the wall as my sister with the big bird cage! Love the way you created a sitting area near it. Your bedding is so pretty and your decorative piece above the bed is similar to one I have in my bedroom! Love the mix of crystal, mercury glass and old looking wood (lantern)! Great job!
ReplyDeleteI have a larger lantern like that. I put 2 little iron bird nests on stands (from Michaels) in there..with battery powered tea lights in them. Then I put moss all around the lights to hide them and moss in the bottom also. Your bedroom is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job on the dresser and the whole bedroom!!! Love the perfume bottle, just enough bling!!! The whole room is very comfy looking and relaxing......!!
ReplyDeleteYour dresser and bedroom look so nice. I love the mercury glass perfume bottle!
ReplyDeleteHi, back again! While admiring your wrought iron artwork on display on wall in the background, I forgot to mention the giveaway of a set of knit dishcloths and hand towel that I'm offering over on my blog! Oops!
ReplyDeleteLooks good, Maria! I have a similar dresser and mine is currently empty! I need to figure out what I wanna put on it too thanks for the ideas :)
ReplyDeleteEverything turned out gorgeous. Worth the wait for sure.

ReplyDeleteCarol
Love it! The perfume bottle caught my eye, too. You got some great deals! Thanks, Helen
ReplyDeleteYour bedroom looks just beautiful, Maria Elena! It's amazing that you purchased all those things at such a bargain!
ReplyDeleteCAS
Your bedroom is looking great, Maria. The colors are very peaceful and beautiful. Long spaces like a dresser top seem to be a problem for me to decorate. I am never sure what to use or how many items to use. I think you have discovered the formula because the accessories look nice on your handsome dresser.--------- Shannon
ReplyDeleteMaria Elena, Your master is gorgeous. I love all the bargain prices you were able to find. Thanks for sharing.

Came over from Make It Pretty. Your design for the dresser is so serene and classic. Love the mercury glass and the lantern. I wish we still had Kirkland's (Bo-Hoo0 - just a little whine for Monday!) The silver details are a perfect touch.

ReplyDeleteHello Maria Elena
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for visiting and following my blog and also for your kind comments.
I am also a follower now on your blog....which from what I have seen up to now is rather impressive!
I must say I find Gazpacho a life saver during these hot months when its so easy to lose ones appetite due to the heat. It is so refreshing....and although I shouldn't say so myself I am told I make it very well and even my 11 year old grand-daughter loves it. My husband who is from Alicante says I make the Gazpacho and Tortilla Española as if I were Spanish...bless him.
Whereas the paella oh dearie me pretty awful...I leave that to my daughter to make. Sooo what is a Madrileña doing so far away from home ... I imagine everyone asks you that as they do me ...what is a Brit doing so far from home too!!!
Well this was supposed to be a quickie because I want to get back in to your blog and have a good look around .....if you have time pop into my giveaway which is on the go until 6th August ..its open to everybody. Keep well Amanda :-)
Stopping back by to say thank you for sharing this lovely space at Potpourri Friday!
ReplyDeleteIt is all coming together wonderfully. I especially love the mercury glass. I have a few pieces and I love them. Your large canvas is fabulous! Wish I could find one similar. I love anything bird related. The two new pictures really match well. Great job for a great price. Thanks for sharing with Share your Cup.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jann
p.s. I accidently said thanks for sharing on your bird post. Sorry, you probably wondered what I was talking about. lol!
Love the bedspread and pillows!! Do you happen to remember the name of the collection or where you purchased it?
ReplyDeleteThank you Rhonda! Yes, I bought it at JCPenney. It was the magnolia collection by Chris Madden. Thank you for stopping by!
