LIBRARY UPDATES

I have to tell you, this has been such a crazy busy week for me. I am absolutely exhausted.
Tomorrow, I plan to spend the day doing nothing, so before I start my "mini vacation" :)
I wanted to share with you some changes I have done to our home library.

I am not done yet, but the rest will have to wait for a bit.
During a trip to the fabric store a couple of weeks ago,
I found two different fabrics and I just loved the way they looked together.
Best part, they were having a big sale and it cost me close to nothing.
I was able to make both window panels and all the pillow covers for $22.00 and change and I still have fabric leftover.

Of course, this caused a chain reaction and I spent a good three hours up on the ladder cleaning
and organizing the desk area and dusting all the bookcases.

Once that was done, I used the blue fabric to make the panels and the yellow for accent pillows
to add to the window seat and chair.
I kept the original rod that I had bought a Pottery Barn a few years back.

And that's it! Very simple changes.
This coming week I will make a new table skirt and also decide what to do with the blue wing chair.
I don't know if I should buy a cover, reupholster it, or get rid of it all together. We will see!

Here is a before/after

I wish you all have a wonderful Mother's Day weekend.
I hope to spend it on my sofa. :)
Until next time!
