I am so looking forward to Christmas this year!
As many of you know, I have been getting ready for Christmas since September! Ha! And there is a reason why. Our son, who is serving in the U.S. Navy, will be able to come home for Christmas for the first time since he joined almost two years ago. I want this house to be a festive and welcoming as possible!
One of the things I wanted to do was to have garland on the stairwell.
If you guys remember, I made my own a few weeks ago. Here is the link for that post. http://mariaelenasdecor.blogspot.com/2011/11/diy-christmas-garland.html
Well, it is up a ready to go!
This is what it looks like. Everything is homemade, even the bows! LOL
In the evening time, as the sun starts going down, with the lights on.
This was a huge project for me because the stairwell is so big.
Going downsstairs
Also added a little Santa to the small table on the landing
And a wreath to the hall table on front of the stairwell.
And some pictures of my niece and nephew with their little red outfits on. Are they cute or what?
These pictures always make me smile.
What do you think? Is the garland a keeper?
Thank you all for coming by to visit!
