LINEN CLOSET ORGANIZATION

Every year in the Spring is when I try to organize our home, going through closets and storage areas.
It is crazy how many things you can accumulate and how disorganized closets can get.
Last week I finally had the time to give our linen closet a complete makeover.

To give you an idea, our linen/towel closet is in the master bathroom. It is not a huge closet, but a good size
that fits our family perfectly.

I don't know about you, but keeping that closet put together has proven to be a real challenge for me.
Two weeks ago I decided I had enough and tried to find a way to organize this space and hopefully keep it clean.
Sorry, no before pictures. There is no way I was going to put online a picture of what this closet looked like before. LOL
This is what I have achieved so far.

I did start by buying four large baskets at Ross and a smaller one and made wooden labels for them.
You can see that post here.
I used the deeper baskets to store our sheets.

The little basket with the guest towels came with the small ceramic shell.

On the bottom shelf I added two large rectangular baskets that hold the pillow cases and beach towels.

Two white plastic tubs underneath hold extra bathroom rugs and shower curtains.

One of the top shelves hold our white towels, the one over I used for the color towels and the top shelf is perfect
to store extra blankets.

To finish it off I added a little vinyl decal on the closet door.

So far the baskets have proven to be a great idea and the closet has stayed clean and organized.
I spent $35.00 to get this project done. Worth every penny!

 That is it for today!
I am working on our front and back porches now, trying to give them a little update. I will share as soon as I am done.

Thank you all for visiting.Take care everyone.

  2. Oh how I would love a linen closet that big. Mine is l7" wide. Barely wide enough for two triple folded towels. You did a great job on yours, it looks fabulous.

  4. My linen closet needs this kind of makeover in a BAD way! I donated some old sheet sets recently to make more room for the things we actually use. Thanks for the inspiration Maria :)
