SPRING ON THE ENTRANCE TABLE

Happy Friday!
Little by little, I have been refreshing and adding some Spring decor to our home.

Our weather is already very warm, mostly in the 80's and that is giving me the initiative to change things around the house. Our entrance table has not "suffered" any changes for a long while now, so it was time to give it a little update.

My husband and I repurposed this hall chest. It used to be a bedroom dresser that he built years ago.
If you want to read how it came to be a hall chest, you can read all about it right here.

This is how it looked before.

And this is now.

Although I used items I already had to decorate it, it all started when my daughter bought me this pretty metal basket. She always does nice things like that for her mom. :) I filled it with some Spanish moss and garden balls.

And it soon became the focal point on our hall table.

I already had one of this lamps from Kirklands that I bought a couple of years ago which I was using on our dining room buffet. I thought it would look nice on the chest, but I soon came to realize I needed a second one.
They must be very popular because it took a while to locate another one.
Of course, I also had to find a new lamp for the dinning room buffet table. Yes, I know what you are thinking! LOL
More to come on that.

Once I had both lamps, I used items I already had to decorate around them.
On the right side I used an old butterfly frame which I put on a metal stand.

On the left you will find the lantern my kids bought me for my birthday a couple of years ago and inside it
I placed a sweet little bird.

On each side of the metal basket I added two pictures of our little baby J. that were taken on Easter Sunday
and right behind them I kept the old candle holders to which I added some new candles.

And that is all I did, but I am loving the lighter colors.

Specially in the morning as the sun starts coming in through the large window over the door.

I hope to have a little time next week and make a few changes on our front and back porch.
We will see how that goes. :)

I wish you all have a wonderful and fun weekend.
Thank you for visiting.

See you soon!
