TUESDAYS AT OUR HOME #42

Happy New Year!
Welcome to the first Tuesdays at Our Home link party of 2014!

I hope everyone started the New Year on a good note and without much snow.
It is crazy the cold temperatures we are having!
We woke up to 28 degrees in Texas!
I know, I know, I complained all last Summer of how hot it was, but, jeez!!!! This is a little too much. LOL

I just got off the phone with my family in Spain.
Today they are celebrating Three Kings Day, which marks the end of the 12 days of Christmas.

This holiday is celebrated there just like Christmas is celebrated here, the children of Spain received their presents this morning that the three Wise Men brought them, families are getting together, big meals are being prepared and you will find a Roscón de Reyes for dessert in just about every home.

Best memories of my childhood were made on this day.
Can you tell I am homesick? :) And a little hungry? LOL

  1. Maria Elena,
Thanks so much for the party!! My parents always kept Christmas decorations up until the feast of the 3 Kings. I just started to take down my decorations today. I am in no hurry.....

    Hugs,

  13. Happy New Year Maria Elena! My husband loves the 12 Days holiday tradition so I keep my Christmas decorations up until it is finished. A good excuse to enjoy the wonder of Christmas a little bit longer. Thank you for hosting and blessings to you in 2014.
