ADDING A POP OF COLOR

Good Morning and Happy Friday!

This week has been terribly busy around here, but before the week ends, I wanted to share with you how I added a little color to my new crafting space.

From the start I knew it was going to be red and white, but as I started putting together the room,
I soon realized a third color was needed.

I didn't want to go crazy because a craft room is always colorful enough once you start adding your ribbons and supplies, so I decided just to use little pops of teal blue here and there.

I found these glass bottles at Michael's for $1.00 each and I took it from there. I used them to make a small vignette on the corner desk with other items I already had.

Next I added some flowers in the same colors that I had used last year for my porch decor.
Some went on the basket on the top shelf and added a few more on a small vase on the desk.

My daughter gave me this small wooden jewelry box she had from when she was little and I repainted it
in white and teal to use it to store small items.

The plates on the top shelf were a little bit of a project.

They were very old plates I had that we picked up while traveling through out the years.
One said Florida on it and the other one just had a green design. Sorry, no before pictures. I forgot to take them! LOL

I sprayed painted both plates in teal and white and stenciled some spring designs on them.

And at the same time I also painted a large clear glass bottle I had used for a Spring vignette last year.
I will be adding a label to it soon.

And just last week, I made a memo board with little touches of teal.
I also added the same little flowers to my mason jar container on the wall.

And now I am working on this.
I will share soon how I plan to use it.

Thank you all for visiting and for always taking the time to leave me a comment.

Have a happy and safe weekend!

  3. I love the added pops of teal & turquoise, Maria Elena! I've been calling turquoise a "new neutral," because it looks amazing with just about every other color. Guess that's why it's so popular!
