BURLAP LABELS

Since I added the island in my craft room and purchased the cloth drawers, I have been looking around online for some pretty labels to download and organize my supplies.

When I finally found the ones I liked and went to print them, my printer had run out of ink. Go figure!

So I went to buy some ink, but instead I ended up in Hobby Lobby. I don't know how that happened! :)

 The store is already full of "Spring" and while browsing through all the pretty decor, I came across these labels.

Yes, I was excited! These were perfect for my baskets!

A little pricey, since there is only four labels in one package, but with the 40% coupon, 

they came out to a little over two dollars. 

Not so bad.

I also bought these 3D alphabet stickers to make my labels. I was worried they were not going to stay on the burlap, 

but let me tell you, they worked out great.

By the way, this new collection also had burlap pennant banner pieces ready to decorate, 

burlap stretched canvas in different sizes and scrap booking supplies. 

Very pretty!

I guess I am going to have to get sidetracked again. :)

MONOGRAM STENCILED PILLOW IN MY CRAFT ROOM

Good morning!

I hope you are enjoying your week so far!

This is not a new project, but I have received several emails and comments asking me where did I buy the stenciled pillow in my craft room or if I had made myself, if I could share a tutorial.

I did made this pillow last year after I finished setting up my craft room. 

The wicker chair was sitting empty and I decided to add a little "happiness" to it.

It was a very simple project and completely free to me since I had all the necessary materials to make it.

The only thing I was missing was white fabric.

I looked through my stash and could not find a piece big enough to make it.

Sooo, I got creative and I used a plane white bed pillow cover I had in my linen closet, which I cut to size, 16x16. :)

Yes, it is an illness! LOL

I already had the Martha Stewart stencils that I had purchased months before at Michaels for another project.

I chose the round stencil on the left upper corner of the above picture for my design, but instead of the bird, I personalized it by adding the letter M. 

I used Americana "tomato red" craft paint and a stencil brush for this project.

Make sure you add a piece of cardboard in between your fabric pieces so it does not bleeds though while you are stenciling it.

Very easy to make.

I did sew mine, but you can also use hem tape.

And that's it! Very simple!

I love this little area of my craft room and I use it quite a bit.

The chair sits next to a small round table with some little red accessories.

And a picture of my mom to keep me company.

BTW, today is her birthday. She turns 71 years old.

Happy Birthday, mom! Isn't she pretty? :)

I miss her sooo much!

BURLAP VALENTINES WREATH

Normally I don't decorate for Valentine's Day, but this year I decided to add a little red and pink to my front porch, after all, I have been missing the bright colors of the holiday decor.

I did start by making a simple wreath with the burlap flowers I made a couple of weeks ago.

You can see that tutorial here.

To a regular grapevine wreath, I added the red and pink burlap flowers I had.

I made a bow with different kind of ribbons and using some hearts from Dollar Tree, I glued them together and with a little twine, I added them to my bow.

I finished the wreath with some pink silk flowers and a few strings of red and pink beads.

As you can see, very simple.I will share the rest of the porch with you all soon.

It is so windy here today, I couldn't even take pictures if I tried. :)
