You think you are finished with one room and then it happens! :)
You come across another decor item or an inspiration picture
and changes happen again.
I am working on a piece of furniture makeover now and it is
not quite finished yet, so meanwhile, I wanted to share with you
other changes we have made to my daughter's room.
A few weeks ago she found these two beautiful bird pictures to go with
her Pottery Barn bed set that she purchased a few months ago, so she decided they would look better over her bed instead of what she originally had up there.
And that inspired her to change the night table and
add a little more color to the room.
We had some paint left from when we painted her flowers vase,
so that is what we used.
The golden yellow color goes very well with the bedding and throw pillows.
She is now quite satisfied with the changes. :)
Now, off to finish my other project!
I hope you all are having a good week.
Thank you for your visit!
LOVE that bedding and the touches of yellow are perfect. I bet she's so happy in that room, it seems so beautiful and calming!

ReplyDeleteHello Maria Elena
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for your last comments and also on my latest post. I have been very tied up trying to get that shawl finished for my niece. It's come out a real treat so I'll be sending it off to Australia to her next week.
what a beautiful bedroom....those two pictures match perfectly with the colour scheme and the decor. Now that was a find wasn't it? How lucky? The canvases remind me of persian paintings of birds and perhaps last century. All the same very nice and very apt.
Un abrazo
Amanda :-)
Hola Maria Elena! I just discovered your blog and it is lovely. I am especially enjoying it because you're a Spaniard! Although I was born and raised in the States, I am a first generation American - my parents are Gallegos. I grew up speaking Gallego, Castellano and of course English. I'm married to a Cuban who's grandparents were Asturianos.
ReplyDeleteI'll be back to peruse your sweet home on the web!

Hi Maria Elena! Your daughter's room is so lovely. The art work and newly painted side table look fabulous! I am a bird FANATIC, and would love them in my daughter's apartment. But, she was afraid of birds as a child, and I haven't completely cured her of that!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you're doing next!
Love the yellow!! And I have the same bird prints in my guest room!
