Hi, everyone!
I hope you are all having a great week.
Today I am sharing one of our latest projects, a DIY drop cloth bench for our bedroom.
This was a free project for us, since we used supplies we already had at home.
We did start by making the legs, which we painted with oil rubbed bronze.
Due to the humidity in the garage, we had to bring them in the house to dry.
This is not the best time of the year to be painting. :)
Then, we got busy building the frame and adding the foam and batting.
By the time we were finished, we couldn't take the heat anymore, so we brought it inside
to cover the bench with the drop cloth.
A few staples later and after sewing the corners and a little ironing, we were done.
It took us about three hours to finish it, but we were not satisfied.
It was missing something.
Sooo, I made some drop cloth covered buttons and we added to the bench the leftover nail heads
we had from a previous project.
And now, we love it! :)
What do you think?
Not too bad for free! :)
And just this week, I made a small throw for the bench.
I will share a little more on how I made it in another post.
And that's it!
Now I feel like the bedroom is more put together.
Thank you all for stopping by. See you soon!
