Hello friends.
I hope your week is going well.
In the last couple of weeks I have been slowly decorating our home for Fall. It took me a while to get the bins down from storage and I have been selecting here and there what I wanted to use this season.
It is amazing how much Fall decor you can collect through the years! :)
I have been taking my time, since our temperatures are still in the very high 90's and it is hard to get into the
Fall decorating mood.
My kitchen and family room are almost done, so today I am sharing with you our Fall decorated mantle.
It is very simple since this year I decided not to go overboard. :)
I mostly used items I already had to decorate our mantle for Fall. The only things I purchased new were the "Thankful" wood letters at Kirklands and the two orange rope pumpkins at Ross.
On each end of the mantle I placed the old glass jars from Homegoods with some leaf branches and the lanterns I bought at Kirklands years ago.
I left our homemade shutters on the mantle to create a backdrop for the lanterns.

On the hearth you will find the the sign I purchase last year, my old orange pillow and a metal container
filled with acorns. All items I already had.

And next to the fireplace I have the Fall subway frame I made a long time ago
And that is it! Quite simple, but enough to give the family room a cozier feeling for the new Fall season.
Your mantle is simply beautiful! I have those 'thankful' letters, too. Mine is on my built-in shelves. Yours look perfect with the pumpkins on either side. I can't wait to see the rest of your Fall decor!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Zenda! I really liked the letters when I saw them and they were 25% off, so I couldn't leave them behind. Take care! Maria
DeleteVery cozy, Maria! I love that knitted pumpkin. I'm like you--after Christmas, I think I have more fall decorations than anything. I haven't yet sorted through, I want to choose only bit to make a simple decor. Ha! We'll see!
ReplyDeleteJane
Hi Jane! Thank you! It is crazy how much you can collect from previous years. I am just using just some fall pieces here and there around the house, just mainly decorating our living areas and the front porch. It is so much work! LOL
DeleteVery lovely, Maria. It is tasteful, and the focus is on "thankful", as it should be. Blessings to you.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! Enjoy your day.
DeleteLooks beautiful, Maria! I am going with simple this year as well. Those rope pumpkins are adorable, definitely showstoppers!
ReplyDeleteThank you Kim! The pumpkins were a great find at Ross. They were only $5.00 each so I figured I could use them somewhere around the house.
DeleteYour mantel would look gorgeous without a single thing on it, but you've truly brought it to life with your decor choices. The rope pumpkins are the perfect pop of color!
ReplyDeleteIt feels like a cool-down here because it's finally below 100*! It certainly feels like Fall inside, though!
Hugs,
Carol
Hi Carol! Thank you so much! It felt like Fall here for a few days with morning temps in the 70's, but it didn't last long. Take care dear friend. xxx
DeleteI love your mantle. One day I hope we can have one in our next house. The sign is so pretty and I like the words on it.
ReplyDeleteThank you Betty! We didn't have a mantle/fireplace before either. My husband served in the military and we lived in 14 different homes during his career and only one of them had a mantle that I could decorate. And now that I have one, I have the hardest time decorating it. LOL Thank you for stopping by!
DeleteIt's all so pretty! You are very talented!
ReplyDeleteI love your touches of fall! So cozy!
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa. Thank you! Just a few items here and there. It is hard to decorate for Fall in this heat. :)
DeleteYour mantel looks wonderful! I like its simplicity and that the thankful sign takes centerstage. I also admire the leaves in the vases on each end - looks great!
ReplyDeleteThank you Lori! It is very simple, just enough to make the house feel cozier for the autumn months. Thank you for visiting!
