HOW DID I MAKE BURLAP POINSETTIAS

Hello, there!
Hope your week is going well.

This year I am trying to do something different with my decor for the holidays  and for the first time, I decided to try my hand at making burlap poinsettias.

I was a little worried about it, but it turned out to be an easy project.

Items needed:

First thing I did was find a free pattern online.
I got mine from Memory Works Blog.

And this is how I made them.
First, cut all your leaves. I used eight large and eight medium for each flower.

And using hot glue, I applied a little piece of floral wire to the back of all the petals.

While the glue was drying, I cut a circle using card stock.
This is going to be your center.
I covered the circle front and back with red burlap.

And now you are ready to start forming your flowers.
With the help of a bit of hot glue, you can start adding your petals.

And now you are ready to add your center and decorate it.
I used some small pine cones I already had.

And now, you can bend the petals to form your poinsettia and also don't forget to remove all the extra glue. :)

You can use these flowers to decorate your wreath or garland for the holidays or you can attach a little ribbon or twine to them and use them as ornaments for your tree.
This project is a little time consuming but very easy.

Hope you enjoyed this small tutorial.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit!
See you soon!
