CHANGES ON THE FRONT PORCH

It is hard to believe it is that time of the year again.
Summer is finally here and the red, white and blue decor, projects and recipes can be found all over blogland.
I think after the hard winter we all experienced, everyone is ready for a little celebrating and fun in the sun.

This year, the only part of our home decorated for the upcoming holiday, is our front porch.

Come on up and let me show you around.
It has been raining almost non stop for the last three weeks, so getting a few sunny pictures
has been quite a challenge.

It is simple, but just enough to welcome our guest for the upcoming 4th of July celebration.
Of course, I had to make new burlap pillow covers. :)

And I used some of the items from last year to decorate our side table, including the little red solar lamp.

By the front door you will find our new wreath that I made a couple of weeks ago and the sign post
with a few patriotic decorations.

I hope you enjoyed this small tour of our patriotic front porch. I wish you all a very wonderful weekend.
Thank you so much for stopping by to visit.
Until next time!

  1. Your porch looks fantastic, Maria Elena! I wish mine were a little larger so I could do the things you do out there. Hope you are staying cool. It's hot here in the Dallas area. :)

  5. It's all lovely, but my favorite is the bench with all the patriotic pillows.

  6. This is so patriotically pretty, Maria Elena! Did the red stripe burlap come that way in yardage, or did you do something clever and tricky? Your front porch always looks great.

I've been hearing about all the rain, and I know that means "steamy heat!"

Thank you for your comment on my garage storage!

  7. Cute porch!
My favorite part is what you did with the plant inside the basket, adorned with flowers and flags. A lot of detail, shows a lot of love.

  9. Love the pillows on the bench! Very cute, I should use my extra red striped burlap and blue star burlap to make something cute like your pillows. A little energy and a sewing machine that works would help to inspire me to get started on this project!
