Chandelier makeover

Well, here I go, another spray paint project! LOL
I seem to be doing a lot of that lately, actually it has been months since
I picked up a brush!

This is the newly updated chandelier, in my soon to be, craft room.
I used  Rust-Oleum Satin Heirloom White.

Remember the chandelier I bought at the
Habitat center for $5.00?

I finally had the time this last weekend to finish it.
I found the red lampshades at Tuesday Morning for
just $2.99 each.

I also added a small red tassel

I think it goes well with the theme in that room and
with the small window balance I made a few weeks ago

Before and after

What do you guys think?
Is it a keeper?

Total cost for this project was $20.00 plus change.
I am still working on decorating the top shelves my husband built
for me and also on getting cabinets and counter tops.
I hope everybody is having a great week!
I appreciate you taking the time to visit.

  1. It's a KEEPER for sure! I love how it showcases the red shades and tassel. PERFECT job- xo Diana

  2. Why pick up a brush if you do not have to? Looks fabulous! Love the red shades too.

  3. My what a redo! I love the results! Spray paint? Glorious! Love those sweet red shades too. Now I must tell you something, I have the same brass chandy in my entry only it has about 20 candles! I would love to do something like this.
Be a sweetie and thank you for popping in to see me.
    shelia ;)

  4. That is quite a transformation, and for less than $20.00, wow! I like the red shades very much. Great job.

  5. That looks great Maria Elena! I think just about every light in my house has been replaced with a Habitat for Humanity light fixture. It's amazing what a can of spray paint and some creativity will do for little money! Enjoy your day, Gail

P.S. Your husband did an AWESOME job on the pot rack...LOVE it!

  6. I love it! You did a super tranformation and it looks so pretty! The red shades are perfect.

  10. Super cute! love the white and red, so snappy! I too have been thrilled with a can of paint on a chandy a few times, and isn't it amazing how adding some shades can totally change the look? I'm now following you on LF, hope you'll come visit me too! Little Bit

  11. Wow, what a transformation. The wonders of paint, right? Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to seeing the whole room. liz

  12. Oh my gosh, I bought almost the same light at a Church yard sale a few weeks back for only $5.00. I sprayed mine black, and left the shades off. I am loving it, as well as yours. Great job!

  13. WOW! worth a whole lot more now than $5...great job!!

  14. Maria, I remember seeing this earlier, but you know how my week has gone since the huge surprise on Tuesday! I love the new look on the chandy and like the pop of red. Looks like you are about to complete another one. Love it! Helen

  15. Definitely a keeper...this turned out so good. Love the red shades too. Isn't it amazing what a hit of red will do?

  16. I have been thinking about painting our chandy turquoise. Yours looks great, and the shades are my favorite color! Great job!!!

  17. Love the new look of the shanty. Amazing what a little bit of paint can do!! Diane

  18. Amazing change! I can't believe that it's the same chandelier...

  19. Good job on your project, it turned out perfect. Thanks for sharing and for visiting my site.

  20. What great makeover! Thanx for sharing with us over at THT!

  21. Wow loved this creative and great art. It's looking stunning and beautiful.

  22. The paint idea is so refreshing for me. :] Most of the time, what we see are metal-colored fixtures. So, this is such an unspoiled design. I think it’s really made for a craft room. Even from above, it can liven up the atmosphere, for sure!
