MY SUMMER MANTLE

Hello, there!
I hope everyone is having a marvelous holiday weekend!

Today, I am sharing with you a few changes I made to my mantle decor.
I am trying to light things up a little for the summer months.

Some of the items I used I received as birthday gifts (my family knows me well) and I also added the flower pot with boxwood wreath I finished last week. You can see those two posts here and here. The clock has been up there for years now. We love this clock and I always try to work around it when changing the decor.

This mantle is so big, it always turns out to be a huge challenge for me.
I am almost a "little scared" of changing it for the different seasons. LOL

And, after many trips up and down the ladder, this is what it looks like now.
I hope you don't get bored with so many pictures!

Love my new jars! A gift from my daughter!

I added these little yellow bottles I found at Kirklands on sale for $3.00 each to give a little pop of color to the mantle.

I painted my old vase and gave it a new look with a burlap bow and some new flowers I bought at Michaels for just a couple of dollars during their Memorial Day sale.

This iron piece is always present on my mantle, I just changed the decor on it as needed. I love it because it doesn't interfere with the clock.

Love the design on the lantern!

I hope you enjoyed the changes on my mantle.
I will be back with the features from this weeks party.
Until them, enjoy the rest of your weekend!

  12. It looks beautiful! I love the stone on your mantle. Lanterns are one of my favorite things right now. :) A burlap bow just makes anything better, doesn't it? :) I've been trying to incorporate burlap into my decor more and more. You did a great job!

  18. Hi Maria Elena! Beautiful mantel! (I'm afraid to admit I still have my spring fantel up!) But, holy moly, you need a ladder to get up there? Just how big is your fireplace? And boy, am I jealous because I don't have one at all. Not even a little one! I hope you're staying cool down in Texas (no need for a fire now, right?) and enjoying your summer so far.
