Hello everyone!
Today I am back to share with you our simple Spring mantle, but before I start this post I want to thank you all for the emails and messages congratulating us on our new granddaughter. Thank you so much.
We are over the moon! :)
My mantle has been decorated for a little while now, but finding a chance to share it on the blog is a different story.
It is a "now or never" kind of situation so, before anybody requires something else from me, here is a little look at our Spring mantle for this year.
I only bought a couple of new things and mostly used items I already had.
I also left the wood shutters up there to use them as background.
On the left side of the mantle I placed the old candleholders which I sprayed painted in white, two books wrapped in white fabric and a bit of twine and a new greenery topiary.
My daughter, the librarian, :) showed me a very easy way to wrap the books with fabric and if you guys want, I can put together a simple tutorial for all of you later on.
I always have a hard time figuring out what to place in the center of the mantle because I don't want to cover the clock, so when I run across this pretty galvanized utensil holder, I knew it would probably fit perfectly up there.
I decorated it with the same greenery as the topiary's .
The right side of the mantle is very similar, only I used an old set of finial statues to kind of give the mantle some balance. These finials used to be dark brown, so they also got an update with the same white spray paint as the candle holders.
A few bird houses and pretty blue bird finished up the mantle for the new season.
The hearth only holds two pillows and a small rustic bird house. Very simple.
And that is all I could accomplished before this little guy came to spend the week with me.
Let me tell you, I am one tired grandma!
And if you have taken care of a two year old lately, you know what I mean. LOL
But I sure have enjoyed every minute he and I have spent together.

And that is it for today. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by.
I don't know when I will get another chance to be on the blog again.
Hoping things come down a bit soon.
And just in case I don't get a chance later, I want to wish you all now a wonderful and blessed Easter.
XOXO
Happy Easter, congratulations and l love those galvanized pots. I hope you get to nap, too! ;)
ReplyDeleteYour mantel is really pretty.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy those little ones. :)
Your mantel looks lovely, Maria Elena....so fresh and Spring-like! OMGoodness, I cannot stand all the cuteness going on with your Little Cowboy! How is he handling being a big brother?
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you and your family!
Hugs, Carol
Congrats again on your new granddaughter! And look how cute big brother is!!! You must be so proud of all of them. I love your spring mantel and I'd love a tutorial on how to wrap books with fabric. I currently have a lot of books I can't use in my decor because they're the wrong color, and this would be the perfect solution. xoxo
