WELCOME SIGN

Is it me or time is just flying?
In just a few days we will be celebrating Easter and it seems like just yesterday we were sharing
our Holiday decorated homes.

This year, all my Spring decorating has not happened.
Too much going on for me to even stop and think about decorating our home. Just keeping up with everything
and everyone has become my full time job.
I am sure this will change soon and things will come down, but for now, it is all about priorities.

But before our kids came home, I had already started decorating our front porch.
Just a couple of touches of Spring and a new welcome sign.

TUESDAYS AT OUR HOME #105 & FEATURES

Welcome, everyone!

I am so happy you are here!
I have really enjoyed visiting the links from last week party.
Beautiful Spring decor, renovations and projects.
I am a bit jealous! :)

I have to tell you, for the first time ever, there is no
Spring decorating going on around her, much less projects.
Our days (and nights for mom & dad) have been full of diaper changes, baths, feedings...
He literally has six adults going around in circles trying to provide for all his needs.
It is actually really funny to watch. He is the boss. LOL
Hard to believe he is only 18 days old!

For now, I am content to kiss that little sweet face and to visit your beautiful blogs when I have a free minute.
Lets take a look at last week most viewed posts.

Lori at Dinning Delight created a beautiful Spring vignette on a tray.
Love the colors and every little detail.

Carol at An Oasis in the Desert transformed her whole kitchen by painting her cabinets.
She and her husband did a beautiful job!

Kate at The Organized Dream created some beautiful moss topiaries using items from the Dollar Store.

Another gorgeous Easter display was shared by Jody at Southern Seazons
So pretty!

Elisabeth at The Porcelain Rose made gorgeous Easter egss.
What a beautiful project!

Kendra at Joy in Our Home shared the new coffee table she and her husband built.
Love the style and color!

IVORY SISAL RUG

Greetings!
Hope your week is going well.
I have been keeping busy, busy. Lots going on around this house, but no complains, I am enjoying every minute of it.

A couple of weeks ago, I purchased a new rug for the entrance hall of our home.
I was looking around for something that would go well with our living/dinning room rugs and that it would
withstand high traffic.
I normally don't like to order large items like these online, but, this time around, I took a chance.

TUESDAYS AT OUR HOME #104

WELCOME TO TUESDAYS AT OUR HOME!

I am so happy you are all here. Thank you for stopping by!
I feel like I have been away from the blog for months LOL, but I hope to get back to semi-normal this week.
Thank you all so very much for all the prayers and support you have given our family in the last few days.
Reading your comments made me proud of being part of this wonderful blogging community. You are all the best!
Thank you!

I am happy to announce our little grandson is finally home!
He was discharged yesterday, gaining weight fast, he is already nine pounds and trying to reach for his bottle
when mom was feeding him in the hospital. :)

No more needles, wires and IV's for him, just lots and lots of love and kisses.
We are trying so hard not to spoil him. :)
But who can resist that little face!

Since I didn't host the party last week, I have no features to share, but that is ok, you all know I appreciate
all of you taking the time to link your beautiful projects at my party every week.
So, lets get started!

You can link up any posts that are home decor, gardening, crafting, painting, sewing, cooking or DIY related.
NO Etsy shops or link parties, please.  And although there is really no other rules to join, I would love if you start following my blog.

IMPROVING SLOWLY

I don't think any of us will soon forget the last seven days.
It has been the biggest "roller-coaster ride" of our lives.

Everything that could go wrong during a delivery, went wrong! From our DIL having a severe allergic reaction to the epidural she was given and going into liver failure, to our little grandson having to be brought into this world in a hurry through an emergency C-Section during which he acquired a very dangerous, and fatal in many cases,
blood infection that caused him to develop meningitis.

It has been a touch and go situation for several days and nights, and although our little guy is still in the ICU, things are finally turning around and all his blood work as of yesterday is normal. He has been taken off the oxygen and all the other machines that he has been hooked to for several days now and he is acting like a normal newborn.

Meet baby J, our precious grandson!
Born March 12th. 8 lbs. 3 oz. 21inches long.
We took this picture last night before we left the NICU.

Mom is also doing very well.
She was discharged on Sunday and recovering very quickly from the whole ordeal.

Thank you all so much for all the comments you have left me in the last few days.
Your words of encouragement and prayers just mean the world to me. Thank you, dear friends!

I don't know when I will be able to be back to blogging.
Right now I am on "grandma duty" :)
Big hug, everyone!

PARTY ANNOUNCEMENT

Just a quick note to let you all know I won't be hosting Tuesdays at Our home tomorrow Monday, March 16th due to going through a severe medical emergency with our
DIL and grandson.

Thank you all for your understanding.
Please, keep our family in your prayers.

SPRING WREATH

With everything happening in the last few days, my decorating and crafting time has come to a halt. :)

I am enjoying all the craziness that happens when three siblings get together after thirteen months of not seeing each other. The house is just full of laughter, while they catch up on the lost time while they were apart.
My husband and I just look at each other across the room and smile.

It is a good thing last week I put together a bit of Spring decor for my front porch.
It isn't much and I used just a few things I already had.

NEW AREA RUGS

Hello, friends!
I hope your week is going well.

Let me tell you, I love area rugs, but I have to say I think I am the worst person in the world when it comes
to making decisions on which ones to buy.

I am a visual person, I have to actually see it in the room to decide if I like it or not.
Plus rugs can be pricey and it is not something you can replace everyday, so I want to make the right choice.
You understand my dilemma, right? :)

And for those reasons, our home has been pretty much "rug-less" for a long time, six years to be exact. LOL
Until last week, when I finally decided it was time to take the plunge.
My husband and I went out looking for a rug for our home library and one for the front entrance hall and instead,
we came home with these.

DROP CLOTH STENCILED BABY PILLOW

It is so hard to believe that in about three weeks or less, we will be grandparents.
It seems it was just the other day we were raising our kids, we don't even feel like we are that old. :)

We are super excited to welcome this little guy into this world and we have done everything in our power
to help our kids get ready for this huge event in their lives.
They just don't know what's coming! LOL

All the necessities have been bought and now, little by little, I am making some pretty things for my grandson.
Of course, if you know me by now, you know I had to make him a cute pillow. :)
It is probably the first of many to come!

Here are some highlights from that party.
So much inspiration!
Ramon at Rowhouseblog  put together a gorgeous lemon tablescape.

Carol at An Oasis in the Desert put together some gorgeous Spring decorations and vignettes.

Kim at Exquisitely Unremarkable had some serious issues with her blog and I just had to highlight
her post to help others going through the same situation.

Penny at Penny's Vintage Home shared with us her gorgeous Easter decor in her sun room.

Julie at Love My Simple Home made her own chalk paint and changed the look of a mirror.
Beautiful!

Christine at Must Love Home gave her home office a gorgeous makeover.
