OUR FAMILY ROOM THESE DAYS

I don't know if it is just me, but Spring is flying by and it is hard to believe Summer will be here in in about six weeks.
We have been busy cleaning the outside of our home, getting our flower beds cut and sprucing up our outdoor areas. Lots of work!

Meanwhile, the inside of our home has stayed decorated the same since before Easter, but I have used green and blues to decorate our living spaces hoping I can carry these colors into Summer time.

The additions have been very simple. The blue and green pillows is really what gave our family room a lighter look
for the warmer months.

The mantle you have already seen and I will probably make a few changes as Summer gets here.

I always have a hard time trying to figure out what to use to decorate our coffee table, since I can't use very tall items that will interfere when we are watching TV.

I created a simple vignette on the old tray using a frame with a chalkboard printable of our family's initial.

I filled an old ceramic container with moss balls that I made myself which I placed on top of a fabric wrapped book.

And I used the old cloche that I made years ago with Dollar Tree items to display a cute little bird.

And that is just about all the changes I made.
Since it is all one open space, I always like for the colors I use to decorate the kitchen to carry into the family room.
This is the view from the kitchen.

As you can see I still had the bunnies up when I took these pictures. After Easter, I kept the same vignette on the kitchen island and just added a cute little bird my grandson bought for me. :)

Thank you all so much for taking the time to stop by.
Your visits and comments mean so much to me.

I am almost done refreshing our back porch, so I will be back in a few days to share the changes I made.

Enjoy the rest of your week!

  3. It's simple and very pretty, Maria Elena! I'm tending toward those simplified looks that don't have to be changed so often. It gives me less to blog about, but, oh well!

    Happy Mother's Day!
