Hello everyone.
Is it Friday yet? LOL
I has been a long week and I am very much looking forward to the weekend, especially since our son and family will be coming down for the weekend and we will be able to enjoy our little grandbaby. :)
So before this week ends, I am sharing with you a small change I made to the laundry room.
The truth is that my laundry room is one of the spaces in our home that I have kept about the same
since we did the remodel.
Last month, while I was sick with a terrible cold and still being too hardheaded to stop doing the daily chores,
I dropped a bottle of bleach on the floor while trying to do a load of laundry. Yikes!

I don't need to tell you I ruined the old carpet I had there for years.
After cleaning the disaster, the laundry room stayed carpetless ( is that a word?) for a couple of weeks.
Just the other day while picking up a few necessities at Walmart, I run across this pretty runner from
the Better Homes & Gardens collection. You can see it here.

I thought the colors would go pretty well with the decor in the laundry room.
It is also stain-resistant and sooo soft. Who can ask for more?

I think it made the space look "happier"
The rest of the laundry room is still the same, at least for now.
What do you think? Is it a keeper?
I probably won't get a chance to be on the blog again this week, so I want to wish all the dad's out there a happy Father's Day and I hope you have a wonderful weekend with your loved ones.

You're so lucky to have such a big and pretty laundry room! My next house is definitely going to have one (if it kills me). ha! Mine is a walk in closet and strictly utilitarian which is why I never share it on the blog. I love your new runner. It's a great match. I bet you about died when you spilled the bleach! I hope you have a great weekend with your family visiting.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely a keeper! Such a pretty rug! I love your big laundry room and you've decorated it beautifully. Enjoy that grand baby this weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat is a adorable little rug and perfect for your pretty laundry space. I'd love one similar for my kitchen entrance, cause I don't much care for the ones with the kitchen prints.
ReplyDeleteWhat I love the most are your saying about family.
Happy Father's Day to you hubby and son.
