STENCILED RUNNER

Hello, everyone. Happy Friday!

This has been a week and a half for me, :) and it looks like the weekend is going to be more of the same.
Life has been busy around here lately!

I have several posts to share with you, bot my computer time has been kind of "non existing" in the last few days,
but today, I am sharing a small post on how I made a stenciled drop cloth runner for a big project
that I have been working on in the last couple of weeks.

I made this runner using some freezer paper, a 15"x72" piece of drop cloth and my Silhouette Cameo.

I have been researching the many crafts you can make with the Silhouette and I found out
that many people are using this method, so I decided to try it.

First, I selected a chevron pattern and in just a couple of minutes, the silhouette cut it perfectly for me.

The nice part about the freezer paper is that, using a hot iron, it will stick to your fabric very nicely
and the paint won't run. I used regular fabric paint for this project.

When you are done and while the paint is still wet, peel off the freezer paper.
It is very easy to do this step, since the paper comes off just like if you were peeling a sticky note.

Here is a little sneak peek of how I am using my new stenciled runner.

I am almost finished with this project, so I will share with you this coming week.
Meanwhile, thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
See you soon!

  4. Maria, I was wondering what you were working on! Something told me you were busy and as always you did a terrific job. The Silhouette is amazing, but you must remember I can't cut a straight line! I enjoy seeing how easy it is for you. Thanks for sharing with us. ;)
