I hope this post finds you all doing well.
It has been another busy week around here, but that's ok, the weekend is almost here. :)
Today I am sharing with you a small makeover I gave my to family room.
Come on in and I will show you around.
Come on in and I will show you around.
I had NOT planned to do this, I promise, :) but I went in to Hancock Fabrics to pick up something else
and run into a big sale, well, what can I say, couldn't be avoided.
and run into a big sale, well, what can I say, couldn't be avoided.
I saw this pretty linen fabric and I knew I couldn't leave it behind.
And the fabric sale was so huge that it only cost me $22.00 to make these changes.
It was a remnant, but big enough to make some drapes, pillows covers and a little leftover for the breakfast area.
Not quite finished with that yet, so I will share soon.
I can't take pictures on front of a window to save my life, so, please forgive the quality of the pictures.
I even had enough fabric to make a couple extra accent pillows for the fireplace and small chair.
And since I was already changing things, I gave the mantle a different look.
On the coffee table, I put together a small vignette using my basket tray and a pretty Spring jar
my son bought me for Mother's Day.

Before and after.
Thank you all for visiting! I really appreciate you taking the time to stop by.
Until next time!
Until next time!

ReplyDeleteWhat a nice change, Maria! It is a great look for the warmer months. I hate when that happens ~ finding fabric that I am not looking for and can't resist! : ) In my case, it might sit in my craft room for months before I get to it. You are good in that you got right to it! Your mantle looks great, too. Have a wonderful weekend!

Just beautiful! My daughter is getting married and she wants to make her curtains. She was excited when I showed her yours -- and especially how inexpensive they were. Love the pillow and scarf for the bottom of your basket, too.
ReplyDeleteMaria, I just love the new curtains and the greens! Of course I love the slight touches of blues as well. I am a sucker for those 2 colors other then white and off white of course. LOL I wanted to let you know that I am featuring this post on my blog tomorrow at Tuesdays with a Twist, link party. Come by and take a look. Thanks again for sharing and have a great day. :-)
