A QUIET THANKSGIVING

Life works this way sometimes. This is the first year in a long time that my husband and I will be spending a very quite Thanksgiving Day with just two of our children. I guess this is what happens as you get older and you start being empty nesters. We are not complaining, actually, we are very much looking forward to a quite day at home, cooking, eating and being  bums for the rest of the day. LOL
This has been a rough and busy year for our family and come Christmas, we will have a house full, so we are taking all the quite time we can get.

Our Thanksgiving table this year is very simple.

I am using my new Gibson dish set that I bought a while back and had not used yet.
I love the warm colors on these plates. Perfect for Fall.

Finished off the table with a Fall centerpiece and candles.

Fall napkin rings

My Cristal d' Arques glasses with gold trim

I love this little ceramic pumpkins in different colors to dress up each place setting

I sincerely wish that you all have a very Happy Thanksgiving Day.
Thank you for coming by!

P.S. you asked about the crystals on the blue chandelier - I got a box of 24 for $4 at BigLots. Not a bad deal!

  5. Hello Maria Elena!

Your table is beautiful!!! I LOVE those dishes and they work great for Thanksgiving. I also love how the colors in the placemats are repeated exactly in the leaves in the centerpiece. Your kitchen looks amazing, too.

I want to thank you for giving me the ebay links on my post with my grandmother's china--I bought plates, cups and saucers, and I got them for a song. That was very sweet of you!

  9. Hi Maria! Your Thanksgiving table is so pretty! I love your lovely centerpiece and your dishes are just perfect with everything! My married children live far from us so it's usually just hubby, my mother and me. But it's okay. I'm sure you had a wonderful time.
thank you so much for popping in to see me and come back any time.
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia;)
