FALL ON THE FRONT PORCH

Greetings, everyone!

I hope your week is going well.

I have been taking it easy this week and spending lots of time at home. 

I really needed to do that. :)

I have used this time to finish the bit of Fall decor I wanted to do on the front porch.

The truth is that, believe or not, I am the only one in our neighborhood that decorates 

the outside of our home all through out the year.

I know! What in the world!!! LOL

 And since the temperatures are still in the mid 90's, I figured I wait a little so nobody thinks 

the "crazy lady" is back at it again. :) 

I kept it very simple this year. The first thing I did was to make the pillow covers.
This year I decided to used different kind of fabrics with Fall colors instead of Fall prints.

 And I made an accent pillow for a little extra color.

To decorate the side table I used the solar rope lamp I made over the Summer to which I added some Fall accents, 
a little lantern that my daughter bought at Target and an orange bowl from Dollar Tree which I painted orange 
and it holds the twine pears I made last month.

 

On the door, I just have the simple wreath I made a few weeks ago.

On the side of the door, I kept the sign post and updated my old crate by giving it a good cleaning, a coat of paint 
and adding to it a vinyl Fall quote.

And I love as the sun starts going down and the lamp lights up by itself and gives the porch such a warm feel.

This week we received a nice surprise I just had to share with you. Maybe this "outdoor decorating nut" 
is really up to something. :)
