How is everyone doing?
My husband and I have been a little under the weather for the last couple of days,
so things have been kind of slow around here
so things have been kind of slow around here
Just barely trying to keep up with every day life, so no new projects happening right now, but I would like to share with you the little bit of Spring decor I added to the back porch a couple of weeks ago.
Nothing to write home about :), but just a little pop of color to make our outdoor time more pleasant,
until we get back to the construction of the back yard. Lots of plans in the making.
You all know how much I like to update spaces in our home with different fabrics.
This time, I used a couple of yards I had in apple green and made new covers for our outdoor pillows.
Let me show you around.
This is the first thing you see when you open the back door.
I just made some envelope style pillow covers and added a few flowers to the pots.
Since the weather is so beautiful right now, we brought the eating table back out and, after a good cleaning, I added to it my new covered pillows, some place mats in the same color, a few candles from Dollar Tree and faux flowers for the centerpiece.
I love to sit on the bench in the morning with a cup of coffee and my iPad and read your blogs
while I listen to the birds singing. So peaceful! :)
Thank you all for stopping by for a visit.
See you all soon!
I made a full set of outdoor cushions in the color:) so heck yea I love it.. your porch looks great.. wish I could sit with ya one morning ..
ReplyDeleteenjoy that beautiful happy porch.
Such a great space! I love all of the green touches that you added. Pour me a cup too!
ReplyDeleteMaria, your porch looks like a party in action! I'm loving that "Spring Green" among your other beautiful colors. Sounds like you were busy!
ReplyDeleteVery very pretty, Maria Elena! I love the bright apple green, beautiful. And it mixes really well with the blue. I'm wondering if I should add a nice pop of color like that to my patio...I usually play it so safe! lol!
ReplyDeleteI hope you and your husband feel well soon.
XO,
Jane
Green is really refreshing. I love what you did!
ReplyDeleteThe apple green color is the prefect pop for you beautiful back porch Maria Elena! Hope this will make you and your husbands recovery much faster!
ReplyDeleteThat's the same color I use for outdoor accent - I love it. You have lots more pops than I do and it all looks so good. I can see why you enjoy sitting out there in the morning. So would I!
ReplyDeleteHi Maria Elena, your porch is so pretty! I love the apple green you added. I'm holding off on my porches just yet because of pollen. Pollen season is starting and it gets messy!! Hope you have a wonderful day, Gail
ReplyDeleteI love all the apple green! Everything looks so beautiful! We definitely have to enjoy the outdoors before it gets too hot. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm loving all this green; it's my favorite color! :)
ReplyDeleteWow, that apple green is so pretty, and looks amazing with those pops of turquoise! Do you actually grill in this covered space? I don't think The Man (aka: Grill-Man) would want it that close to the house. It really is such a beautiful space, Maria Elena. We are enjoying probably our last reprieve from heat for the duration of summer. It is in the 60's right now, breezy, and expecting rain any time now. I'll take it! Pulled on a long-sleeve top, YAY! Maybe I should grab a scarf, too......lol! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love the green and the pops of turquoise…so pretty!!! I could stay out there all day! Thank you for sharing at One More Time Events…Hugs…Tammy

ReplyDeleteYour porch is beautiful and I love the addition of that apple green, I am in love with that color lately and that same blue you have. The porch looks awesome.......and bet you can't wait to have din din on the porch. We have been using ours quite a bit lately and it is just such a nice change of pace.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Nellie
Think you might have just been the last inspiration I needed to get some pillow covers done for my porch. Have had the fabric for a long time......
just can't seem to get moving, but seeing how pretty your porch looks.......may have been the trigger I needed................Thanks for the inspiration!!
Looks so awesome!!! I LOVE apple green BTW and I also love the teal that I see in some of the pillows. Hey I just looked at a post from June 2013 about Working on your back deck, OH MY what a difference from then until now! You should do a post to compare those 2. LOL
ReplyDeleteI love all of the spring green, it's such a soothing color! Everything is just so pretty...enjoy it all!

Visiting from Thurs. Favorite Things this morning. I love your outdoor space! The shade of green has made it so inviting for this time of year. I so enjoyed visiting your home tour too. You have a beautiful home! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, one of my favorite things. I have apple green in my kitchen and dining room. Love your porch! Thank you for sharing at the Thursday Favorite Things blog hop. I featured you on facebook and google plus ♥
ReplyDeleteMaria I am visiting from the Share Your Cup Thursday party and your pretty apple green caught my eye because it's one of my favorites. In fact, I have the same placements and use them indoors as well. I love your front porch - it is very inviting and well designed. I bet you spend as much time as possible out there relaxing. I like your fabric drapery panels for privacy as well.

ReplyDeletelove this color! so happy...
ReplyDeleteWonderful colour combo - love the apple green with the splashes of aqua! Your deck looks so inviting and a place you can really relax! Not quite sure I'm seeing it right, but it looks like you have put the "umbrella hole in the table" to fantastic use with the flowers and candleholder! Great idea! Wishing you many more enjoyable, sunny mornings with coffee in hand!
