Hello, friends!
I hope your week is going well.
Today I am sharing the changes I made to our small hall cabinet a couple of weeks ago.
Many, many years ago, about 15 to be exact, I bought this small cabinet at a garage sale.
The lady was already closing for the day and she sold it to me for one dollar.
Yes, you read right, she just didn't want it anymore and asked me to take it off her hands.
It sure made my day! :)
At the time, it was a natural wood color but when we moved into this house, I painted it dark bronze
and it has been in the same spot since.
You all have seen it many times.
Until last month when I received in the mail the Ballard Designs catalog and browsing through it
I came across this picture.
So I decided to give my almost identical, one dollar chest a mini makeover. :)
I have bought this chalk paint and wax at Walmart a while back and this was the perfect project to put it to good use.
This was my first time using any kind of chalk paint and I have to tell you that little jar was enough
to redo the whole cabinet.
And a trip to Hobby Lobby for some new knobs finished my project.
Here is the "new" hall chest.
I added to it a couple of items I already had and a picture of my little guy.
It cost me under $20.00 to make these changes.
What do you think? Should I keep my one dollar chest? :)
I thank you all so much for your visit.
Enjoy the rest of your day.
