Hello, everyone!
Between one thing or another, I am so late this year getting the house decorated for the new season.
Because of that reason, my Fall decor this year is very simple and even then, I don't seem to have time to finish it. Between projects, cooking, cleaning, laundry, deck building, water heater repairs and "broken" vacuum cleaners,
I managed to give the kitchen a bit of a Autumn look.
I managed to give the kitchen a bit of a Autumn look.
I did start with the island, like I do every year.
I used my homemade cabinet tray, two glass vases from Homegoods, my old Fleur de Lis candle holders
and just a few little pumpkins here and there.
and just a few little pumpkins here and there.
The leaf branches came from Hobby Lobby.
I also added a few Fall touches to the pot rack.
And a few pumpkins here and there on my existing vignettes.
A couple of weeks ago I changed the drapes in the breakfast area.
The minty green Summer color went away until next year and in its place I made a new drop cloth valance.
I wanted something neutral that would go well with Fall and Christmas decor.
The next two pictures I took when I finished it
And here is the breakfast area decorated for the new season.
The placemats came from Walmart. I loved the colors and fabric and at $1.98 each, I couldn't leave them behind.
As a centerpiece. I used the basket I bought last year and a few leaves and pinecones.

I also bought a couple of extra placemats and I will show you in another post what I did with those.
On the window sit, just a simple Fall pillow.
And that's it!
I have the family room and mantle almost finished and then I will be decorating the front porch.
Hope to have everything finished soon.
I also have a couple of Fall craft projects to share with you.
Hope to have them up on the blog this week.
Thank you all for stopping by.
See you soon!
