OUR THANKSGIVING BLESSING

Hello, dear friends!
Today, just a small tiny post to share with you our wonderful news.

You see, our beautiful daughter-in-law had an ultrasound done four weeks ago to find out the baby's gender.
But, while this was happening, our son was back out at sea for a month long deployment.

She wanted to make sure they found out together, so since this was not possible at that time, she asked the doctor not to tell her and just put the results inside a sealed envelope so they could open it together when he got home.

Oooh, it has been a long month! LOL
We waited and waited and the envelope finally was opened this past weekend.

MY FIRST CHRISTMAS CRAFT THIS YEAR

Happy Friday!

Can you believe next week is Thanksgiving?
I feel like this year time is just going by so fast and can not seem to be able to catch up. :)

Last year around this time I already had all my Christmas decor ready to go, this year I got NOTHING. LOL
Well, somehow, it will all get done.

Once again, I am a little concerned about decorating our mantle. I want to use some of the items from last year, but add a few new things also, so that is where I will be using this project.

A POWDER ROOM SIGN

Hello, everyone!
For the last couple of weeks I have been knee deep in home projects trying to get our home refreshed
and ready for the upcoming holiday season.
New drapes have been made, Christmas decor is being planned and I am now in the process of painting some walls.
Yes, I am a little tired, but happy things are finally getting done.

Today I am sharing a small project I did a last week, a new sign for the powder room.

A NEW SPACE FOR THE COFFEE STATION

Good morning, friends!
It looks like winter has finally arrived around here.We woke up today to a very surprising 38 degrees.
Kind of funny since just Sunday we were in the high 80's.
But that's Texas for you!
I have been moving things around in my kitchen again,( I know you are not surprised) trying to clear the counter space a little and make room for the upcoming holidays meals and entertainment.

My butler's pantry sits unused half of the time, so I decided to put that space to good use.
Let me show you what I did, it is nothing fancy, but I think it will work better for our family and guests.

TUESDAYS AT OUR HOME #86 & FEATURES

Hello, everyone!
Welcome to Tuesdays at our home!

How was your weekend? Ours was wonderful!
Specially Saturday since we had a special girls night out.
We purchased these during the Summer time and we have been waiting very patiently. :)

And the day finally arrived!

The Magestic Theater downtown on the River Walk looked amazing!

But of course, it just couldn't be an easy day. :)
We got caught downtown in bumper to bumper traffic.
It was so bad we couldn't even get to the parking garage.
Had to park six blocks down from the theater and literally run to make it on time.
But it was all so worth it!
The play was gorgeous and after the run, the play and a little dancing :) we were exhausted.
Here is a picture of a very tired "little me" at the end of the evening. LOL

We did nothing on Sunday but rest. :)
It sure was a fun evening.

Today, I am very late starting the party.
My husband has four days off and we have been in the streets all day doing a little shopping, soooo, before we start, lets take a look a the features from last week.

Lovely Livings shared her beautiful porch.
Amazing Fall display!

Creative Country Mom gave us a tour of her gorgeous front porch.
Beautiful farmhouse!

My Love To Create shared a great tutorial on how to make your own Coca-Cola box.
Love this project!

Little Brags gave us a tour of her beautiful home decorated perfectly for Thanksgiving.

My Breezy Room shared her beautiful buffet remodel.
Love the new color!

Decorated Chaos  shared a great tutorial on how to modify any lamp to fit your lampshade.
Great Information!

HOW TO MAKE A HEADER FOR YOUR BLOG USING PICMONKEY

Happy Friday!
We are sure looking forward to the weekend around here. :)
We had a busy and very wet week in Texas. It has rained and rained and rained non stop, which has made
our week just a bit harder than normal. We are just not used to rain around here.

Anyway, before the weekend starts, I want to share a tutorial on how to make a free header for your blog using the website PicMonkey. For most of you this may be old news, but if you are technology challenged like me,
then this is good information. :)

CLOSET UPDATE

Good morning, friends.
Hope you are all having a great week!

If you all remember, over the Summer I spent a couple of days fixing up our coat closet, took it all apart, added shelving and a few things I had around the house and created a much more organized space for my family's daily use. You can find that post here.
